Pac-12 Scores Big With Gonzaga

Gonzaga is now in the Pac-12!

Today's announcement is a huge win for the rebuilding conference and for commissioner Teresa Gould.

Gonzaga will join the Pac-12 in all sports the school plays starting in July 2026.

The Zags bring a rich basketball tradition to the "new" Pac-12. Gonzaga has played in 25 straight NCAA Tournaments, reached the round of 16 nine times, and played in two Final Fours.

The addition of Gonzaga also boosts the league's media value, as the Zags are one of the top basketball brands in the country, have one of the most respected coaches in Mark Few, and attract strong TV viewership.

One must wonder whether UNLV will re-consider its recent re-commitment to the Mountain West, given the basketball powerhouse the Pac-12 is putting together.
